Front-End Staff –Park Host

The Park Host is often the first person our guests interact with during their visit. A host’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all guests experience that ‘wow’ factor right from the start of their visit.
Hosts provide guests with the information and direction they need in order to begin their adventure feeling excited and confident.

Category: entry-level, seasonal part-time; seasonal full-time; cross-training opportunities available

Pay Range: Hourly: $13-$15/hr  DOE

 

A day as a Host involves:

  • Creating a welcoming experience for guests in the registration building

  • Greeting guests with a friendly demeanor and providing them with all the information they need to have a stress-free and fun visit

  • Assisting guests with the waiver, check-in process, and merchandise sales

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and high-energy guest service environment

  • Listening to guest feedback and ensuring that any concerns are proactively addressed

Ideal Candidates will:

  • Possess a friendly disposition and professional demeanor at all times

  • Have a passion for working outdoors and be able to work in all weather conditions

  • Have strong communication skills and a kind, patient approach to customer service

  • Maintain a positive attitude on high volume days

  • Have current CPR/First Aid certification, or be able to obtain prior to June 1st

  • Have some customer service/work experience

Schedule:

This is an hourly, seasonal position; both full-time and part-time schedules are available. Weekend availability is required.

The full 2019 Season runs from May through early November.

Candidates may apply for summer-only (June1- Sept.1), fall-only (Sept 1-Nov.1), or full-season (May15-Nov1) seasonal positions.

Any offer of employment is contingent on successful completion of skills-training program/assessment, drug-test and background check.

Course-Side Staff — Park Monitor

Park Monitors are the face of our park, and the heart of our business. As a monitor, you will spend your day climbing through the courses, serving as the on-site experts of climbing gear and techniques, and ensuring that each guest has an incredible experience.
Monitors provide guests with instruction and assistance both on the courses and off. All Monitors are taken through an extensive challenge park training to learn rescue techniques and get familiar with the courses and equipment.

If you are a hard-working, positive energy individual with a knack for customer service, this could be a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new company in an exciting industry!

A day as a monitor involves:

  • Supervising all guest climbers and assisting them on the courses as necessary

  • Performing daily course and equipment inspections

  • Greeting and engaging with guests

  • Outfitting guests with appropriate equipment and delivering instructional safety briefings

  • Guiding birthday parties and special groups through an exclusive climbing experience

  • Assisting with general site maintenance and special projects Ideal candidates will:

  • Have attention to detail and extreme dedication to safety

  • Be comfortable working at heights up to 65 feet in all outdoor weather conditions

  • a friendly disposition and professional demeanor at all times

  • Have strong communication skills and feel comfortable providing instruction and demonstrations to large groups throughout the day

  • Climbing experience preferred

  • Hold current FirstAid/CPR certification or be able to obtain prior to June 1st

  • Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred: service industry, customer service settings, outdoor education, adventure recreation/tourism, education, fire/EMT/rescue, arboriculture, and/or general construction.
